High Powered Flashlights
Got mine today, all I can say is I love the SST20 4000k version… Still learning the changes to software, but really welcome the autolock feature as all of my FW’s have that flashed on them, be if V1 or V2. I cannot believe how small it really is, I knew it would be small, but still WOW.
Bad defect but Kudos to Neal for handling it. Hopefully shipping me a new head. Bummer about a new defective light though.
Just got my 4000K Nichia 219C FWAA. I’m impressed. It’s absolutely tiny!!! It makes my Sofirn SP10B look huge. One interesting thing to note: This is by far the narrowest triple TIR optic light I’ve seen. Unlike pretty much every other triple, the optic is not a 20mm Carclo triple TIR. Instead it appears to be a custom optic that is much narrower and smaller. The bi-directional clip also works very well and does not feel like it sticks out too much. I’m impressed. I think Lumintop has a real winner with this one. Hopefully they will come out with this light in Titanium and Ti-Cu. Love
Been playing around with both of them for a while. These really are great little torches, one question though. In Anduril 2 is the sunset mode default time only 5 min?
Mine came in today, I ordered the 4k SST20 on my TA Lumen Tube I get about 1900 lumen in turbo at startup with an Efest IMR 14500 then drops hard in about 20-25 seconds to around 100 lumen which it seems to maintain. Absolutely amazing performance from such a small flashlight. The tint on both of mine is absolutely great with no hint of green.
The threads were pretty dry. Cleaned and lubed. Anduril 2 (yep), substantially different navigation than the straight up Anduril 1 I’m used to. Switch feels pretty solid. I got Nichia 4000k, great tint. Ain’t no lie this little puppy gets scorching hot in short order (Vapcell H10). 10-15 seconds on turbo will curl your hair. Haven’t had enough time to fiddle with the temp throttle, just calibrated base temp. I’m not getting the second flash/buzz to set the threshold. Overall I think it’s fairly impressive.
